Fully ripened coconuts are cut from smallholder groves across Alappuzha, husked, and split by hand the same day they come down.

The drying
The kernel is laid out in the open sun for several days until it dries into copra. No kiln, no sulphur smoking, no bleaching agent — only sunlight and time.

Dried copra is cold-pressed in our own mill. The oil is never heated, deodorised or refined, which is why it still smells of the coconut it came from.

- Mythri coconut oil is milled by Mythri Oil Mills in Alappuzha 688003, Kerala. The coconuts come from smallholder groves across Alappuzha, and the oil is pressed in the mill's own press rather than being bought in and rebottled.
- Does Mythri coconut oil contain sulphur, chemicals or preservatives?
- No. Mythri coconut oil contains one ingredient — coconut. No sulphur is used when drying the copra, no bleaching agent or solvent is used in pressing, and no preservatives or colouring are added before bottling.
- How is the coconut oil made?
- Ripe coconuts are husked and split by hand, the kernel is sun-dried into copra over several days, and the dried copra is cold-pressed in the mill. The oil is filtered through cloth and bottled the same week it is pressed. It is never heated or refined at any stage.

- How long does Mythri coconut oil keep?
- Mythri coconut oil keeps for nine months from milling when stored in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Like all coconut oil it solidifies below about 24°C, which is normal and does not affect the oil.
